Mailchimp – Members and Audience

What your automation will do…

A connection to your Mailchimp account is needed so we can sync it with our platform.
Refer to Mailchimp – connection.

Manage members of a specific Mailchimp list, including currently subscribed, unsubscribed, and bounced members.

Add a new member (Contact) to your Audience/ List.

Configuration Table:

Marketing permission ID: The id for the marketing permission on the list.
Enabled: If the subscriber has opted-in to the marketing permission. True-False

Timestamp Sign UPThe date and time the subscriber signed up for the list in ISO 8601 format.
IP OPTThe IP address the subscriber used to confirm their opt-in status.
Timestamp OPTThe date and time the subscriber confirmed their opt-in status in ISO 8601 format.

Archive a list member. To permanently delete, use the delete-permanent action.

Get information about a specific list member, including a currently subscribed, unsubscribed, or bounced member.

Get Subscriber by*Possible choices:
Subscriber/Contact ID
Email: Email address of the Member, Contact or subscriber.
Unique Email: A unique identifier for the email address across all Mailchimp lists.
If not Found Consider as:Success – When the record is not found during execution, the system does not treat this as an error. Instead, it considers the operation successful and continues with the workflow.

Failed – Wiresk treats this as an error or failure. The workflow stops or takes a predefined failure action.

Your Mailchimp list, also known as your audience, is where you store and manage all of your contacts.

Some Methods will only work with an appropriate Mailchimp subscription plan. Consult the Mailchimp pricing plan for details.
Create a new list/Audience in your Mailchimp account.
This feature is available on Mailchimp starting from Essentials plan. Refer to Mailchimp doc “create a Mailchimp Audience“.
You will encounter an error message if you don’t have the appropriate plan: [403] Request failed with the error: User lacks access to the requested operation.

Email Type Option*Whether the list supports multiple formats for emails. When set to true, subscribers can choose whether they want to receive HTML or plain-text emails. When set to false, subscribers will receive HTML emails, with a plain-text alternative backup.
Use Archive BarWhether campaigns for this list use the Archive Bar in archives by default.
Notify On SubscribeThe email address to send subscribe notifications to.
Notify On UnsubscribeThe email address to send unsubscribe notifications to.
Double OptinWhether or not to require the subscriber to confirm subscription via email.
Marketing PermissionsWhether or not the list has marketing permissions (eg. GDPR) enabled.

Delete a list/Audience in your Mailchimp account. If you delete a list, you’ll lose the list history—including subscriber activity, unsubscribes, complaints, and bounces. You’ll also lose subscribers’ email addresses, unless you exported and backed up your list.
If you have only one list/audience, or if the list is currently being used, an error message will be displayed:
[405] Request failed with the following error: This list is in use, so we can’t delete it right now. You can delete it in 7 days, if it’s not in use on other active campaigns.

Get information about a specific list in your Mailchimp account. Results include list members who have signed up but haven’t confirmed their subscription yet and unsubscribed or cleaned.

After setting up your Flow, you can choose to:

  • “Run once”, your Flow will run only a single time. You can use this function to test your Flow. Refer to how to set up an HTTP Trigger, in the Trigger setting step.
  • “Run Scheduler” will automate your Flows with the recurrence rule you previously defined.

If you are using a Webhook Trigger, the Flow will initiate automatically when a webhook is received from your connected apps. This means that the Flow is automated without a scheduler and will run until you deactivate the Flow manually. Refer to Webhook documentation in our Help Center.
